ELECTRICAL CIRCUITS AND SIMULATION LAB

ELECTRICAL MACHINES LAB –I
This Lab explores all the possible design connections of a DC machine and it also experimentally obtains the characteristics and thus observes the performance of different DC motors and generators and performs tests on DC machines to derive their efficiency.
ELECTRICAL MACHINES LAB –II
The main objective of electrical machine lab II is to familiarizethe students with all necessary AC electrical machines like asynchronous and synchronous motors, which further includes single phase and three phase induction motors, alternators, and synchronous motors, all of which help to enhance the technical skills of students.
CONTROL SYSTEMS AND SIMULATION LAB
To Introduce the student to the fundamentals of control systems theory with emphasis on design and implementation and hands-on experience with control systems.
POWER ELECTRONICS AND SIMULATION LAB
The main objective of power electronics lab is to familiarize the students with latest technologies based on solid state power semiconductor devices. This provides the basic practical knowledge in the application of power electronics in electrical drives and machines like thyristorised speed control of dc and induction motors.
ELECTRICAL MEASUREMENTS LAB
Measurement is the most important part of an engineer’s job as every quantity requires measurement. The main objective of this lab is to enable the students to understand different types of measuring devices and instruments which are used inindustry for measuring various entities. The use of modern day technologies in the field of electrical measurements is taught practically to the students in this lab. The students are also provided with information about maintenance and calibration of measuring instruments in this laboratory.
POWER SYSTEMS & SIMULATION LAB
The Power Systems Simulation Laboratory (PSSL) research areas include modeling, simulation, and optimization of electric power systems (reliability); and planning, protection, automation, control and power quality. The lab is equipped with power system simulation software and hardware such as protective relays and Fault Analysis etc.
